The Ultimate Kimchi Jjigae Guide: How to Make Authentic Korean Kimchi Stew Like a Pro
The Ultimate Kimchi Jjigae Guide:
Ingredients
- 1 tin Miss Kim Vegan Kimchi
- 1 cup stock (we used chicken broth, use whatever you have!)
- 200g firm tofu, cubed
- 1 spring onion, finely chopped
- Gochugaru (optional)
- Sesame seeds (optional)
- Salt (to taste)
Recipe
1. Heat your pot over medium heat, and stir-fry Miss Kim Vegan Kimchi for a minute.
2. Add a cup of whatever stock you have!
3. Add gochugaru if you have it - we like our kimchi jjigae with a little kick!
4. Cover and let simmer for a few minutes
5. Give your soup a mix and taste. If it needs salt, add some sea salt to taste and give another mix
6. Add 200g of firm tofu and one spring onion, cover and cook for another 5 mins
7. Take the lid off, sprinkle with some more gochugaru and/or sesame seeds and voila! A delicious kimchi jjigae for 2 ☺️
